Donated Car to Be Used For Campus Patrol

A generous gift to Western Nevada College will provide a new patrol car for the Carson City campus.

WNC’s E.L. Cord Auto Technology Center received the donation of a vehicle from Ann York of Highland, Calif. The 2000 Ford Crown Victoria is in such good condition that it will be used for campus security.

“It’s pretty cherry,” said WNC Automotive Mechanics instructor Jason Spohr. The car only has 46,000 miles on it,” he said. “It checked out mechanically perfect.”

The car needed only minor body work and new paint to make it almost as good as new.
