Learn About Mars at WNC Observatory

Learn about the Red Planet in a free lecture at WNC's Jack C. Davis Observatory, at 6:30 pm on Saturday, Nov. 14. Michael Thomas speaks about ongoing explorations of Mars by robotic spacecraft, including the July 2015 close pass by the New Horizons Spacecraft.

Star Parties at the Observatory are every Saturday, and are free to the public. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Tours of the facility are provided, and weather permitting, telescope viewing is offered. However, the Observatory will NOT open if it is snowing and/or there is snow on the roads.
