ASWN Helps Feed Children in Need

The big red apples and the Halloween Monster Mash helped the Associated Students of Western Nevada contribute to feeding hungry children the Carson City area.

ASWN raised $351 and 287 pounds of food for Food for Thought through its fall fundraising efforts.

Western Nevada College’s student government group set up donation barrels marked by big red apples around campus.

ASWN also generated food donations from students at the Halloween Monster Mash & Food Drive on Oct. 31. Attendees had the option of paying for admission or bringing canned foods.

Food for Thought in Carson City provides a healthy bag of food for hungry children in Carson City and parts of Douglas County each Friday.
