Live Help, Additional Resources Also Available at No Cost

Brainfuse Provides WNC Students with Online Tutoring

College students sometimes can’t get the immediate help they are seeking away from the classroom.

Western Nevada College has eased learning assistance for students by making Brainfuse, an online tutoring and live help network, available to them at no cost.

Through state funding from the Library Services and Technology Act, the Nevada Legislature and the Institute for Museum and Library Services, online tutoring help in a variety of subjects is only a few keystrokes away. Tutoring assistance covers mathematics, writing, reading, anatomy and physiology, biology, organic chemistry, physics, economics, finance, accounting, statistics and Spanish.

Other specific tools available to students through Brainfuse are being able to submit writing for any class to the online writing lab, receiving personalized test preparation in core subject areas, forming online study groups and creating online flashcards, quizzes and games to reinforce learning.

To use Brainfuse off-campus, students will need to log in with their Nevada System of Higher Education ID and the password they are using for library databases and campus wireless access. To avoid any confusion, student passwords aren’t the same as their myWNC passwords. Students should use the WNC Online Account link to set up their password. If students just want live help through Brainfuse, they don’t need to register.
