Played, Coached in Northern NV, California

Bethany Henry-Herman Joins Coaching Staff

Familiarity with the Western Nevada College softball program will be an asset for the program’s newest addition to the coaching staff.

Bethany Henry-Herman will join the Wildcats as an assistant to head coach Leah Wentworth. Henry-Herman has served as a volunteer assistant for the past several years.

“She’s a great motivator and so much fun to be around,” Wentworth said. “Bethany has a great connection with the girls and brings a lot of laughter to the field.”

Henry-Herman carries playing and coaching experience to her new position. She played at Carson High School and Feather River College in Quincy, Calif., before an injury shortened her career after transferring to University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

At Feather River, Henry-Herman helped transform the program into a winner.

Wentworth said she will count on her work with the Wildcats’ outfielders, enhance the team’s recruiting efforts and share in the coaching of other areas of the club.

“I’m really excited to have her,” Wentworth said. “The coaching staff has great balance and dynamics, knowledge, a good blend of personalities and age range. She will bring a lot of excitement to this season.”
