Ranked 11th in Nation

Cats Re-enter NJCAA Top 20

Since early in the season, the Western Nevada College baseball team has been missing from the National Junior College Athletic Association poll.
That changed on Wednesday when the NJCAA ranked WNC 11th in its latest Top 20 baseball poll.

WNC (41-18) claimed the Region 18 title on May 11, dominating three games by a combined score of 19-1. Two of those wins came against College of Southern Nevada, which was previously ranked sixth by the NJCAA.

The Wildcats have won the past seven games and 17 of their last 19 games.
NJCAA ranked the Wildcats eighth in its preseason poll in January, but WNC exited the poll in February after struggling in the early part of its Scenic West Athletic Conference schedule.
