Third Annual Event Saturday, March 30

Easter Fiesta Offers Family Fun

Celebrate the Easter Season with the Western Nevada College Latino Student Club’s Easter Fiesta. The fourth annual event will be Saturday, March 30, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Rotary Plaza at WNC Carson City Campus.

Families with children of all ages will enjoy coloring eggs, face painting, an egg hunt, bunny limbo, musical chairs and more.

Latino Club advisor Lupe Ramirez says the event is about more than just fun.

“While the Fiesta allows families to enjoy an enjoyable event in a safe environment, it’s also an opportunity to increase awareness about college,” she said. “It’s never too early to start talking to children about continuing their education. We want the kids to say, ‘Oh, this is college, this is where I want to come.’ That’s one of our goals.”

Attendees are invited to bring a camera and take a picture with the WNC Wildcats mascot. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Admission is $1 for children age five and under, and $4 for adults and children age 6 and above. Admission includes unlimited children’s games.

Proceeds benefit student WNC student scholarships. Information: 775-445-3344.
