Fallon Campus Continuing Education

Short Courses Focus on Computer Skills

Western Nevada College Fallon Campus will offer several non-credit community education workshops during August to help area residents gain new knowledge, sharpen skills, or assist in finding a job. Short-term classes will offer basic computer skills and Microsoft Word instruction.

They include:
MS Word - #329202: August 13,15, 20 and 22, 9 am-noon. Instructor: Bonnie York. Learn how to create documents, manage files, edit documents, and format tables. $145.

Basic Computer Skills I - #329203: August 7-8, 6-9 pm. Instructor: Dusty Casey, This class is geared towards the student with little or no computer skills. Learn basic computer skills, Microsoft operating system, file management, basic e-mail, and the Internet. $86.

Basic Computer Skills II - #329204: August 14-15, 6-9 pm. Instructor: Dusty Casey. This class will expand on computer skills, e-mail and Internet operation, and organizing files and folders taught in the Skills I class. $86.

The goal of the WNC Community Education Division is to respond to community needs for lifelong learning opportunities. Local residents are encouraged to suggest classes and workshops they would like to have made available. Moreover, residents who have an expertise to share with the community are invited to contact the department. The Community Education program is self-supporting and does not receive state funds to sponsor its classes and workshops. These activities are funded entirely by student fees. Classes are offered for no credit and with no final grade assigned.
