Youth Adaptation of Classic Musical

WNC Fallon presents "Music Man Jr" June 25-26

A WNC children's production of "Music Man Jr." takes the stage Friday, June 25- Saturday, June 26, 7 p.m. at Churchill County High School, 1222 South Taylor St., Fallon. General admission is $4; Children 8 years and under are free.

The production is offered by Western Nevada College Fallon College for Kids. "Music Man Jr." is a youth adaptation of the American classic musical that follows traveling salesman "Professor" Harold Hill to River City, Iowa.

The fast-talking salesman finds love, convinces town leaders he can save children from moral ruin through music, then faces a rumor that results in chaos and conflict with the people of River City. Dave Wuth, an elementary school teacher for the Churchill County School District, directs the performance.

Children interested in participating in the performance can register for a three-week class that meets Monday-Friday, June 7-25, 8:30-11:30 a.m., Fallon campus. The deadline to register is Friday, June 4; Auditions will be Saturday, June 5. Cost is $100. To register, call 423-7565.
