Latino Info Night Focuses on Computer & Electronics Info Technology

Western Nevada College Carson City is welcoming Latino parents and their high school age children to learn more about the college through a "First Step to WNC" program that introduces them to student services and academic programs. The two-hour program will be Friday, Oct. 2, 6-8 p.m., in Rm. 103 of the Reynolds Center for Technology.

The event will feature the WNC Computer & Electronics Information Technology program, which offers classes and degrees in the field.

As an incentive for attendees, the evening will also include a drawing for a free ticket to the October 4 concert by Pepe Aguilar and Marco Antonio Soliz "el Buki."

Computing and IT are among the most recession proof industries today, and potential students will be able to ask specific questions about the field and its requirements.
