Diversity Essay Winners Can Earn Scholarships at WNC

An essay contest about diversity sponsored by Western Nevada College offers WNC students and area high school juniors and seniors a chance to win $500 and be published on the college's web site.

WNC is organizing the essay contest "to raise awareness of our Multicultural Festival in May and deepen our commitment to include students' voices in college activities," said Shelly Bale, contest coordinator and an employee at the college.

The essay question is: "How do (will) your distinct and diverse attributes enrich the college learning environment and enhance your prospects for success?"
