Learn about the lives, history and culture of Latinos in Nevada and the United States. See what the future may hold for the fastest-growing segment of the Silver State's population and how they are shaping the cultural landscape.

Western Nevada College presents "A Changing Society, Latinos in Nevada" by Daniel Enrique Perez on Thursday, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. at the Carson City campus, Marlette Hall. Admission is free.

Perez is an assistant professor of Chicano and Latino Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno, and coordinator of the Latino Research Center at the university. He serves on the UNR Ethnic Studies Board and the UNR Consortium of Race, Gender and Identity Studies. His current research focuses on the intersections of race, ethnicity and gender.
