Do the Texas 10-Step and More at WNC Fallon This Fall

Looking to prepare for social get-togethers and upcoming holiday parties? Want to impress friends and family with some nifty dance expertise? Western Nevada College is offering a "first time" country western partners dance class, along with many other credit and non-credit courses this fall.

Students will learn four-count swing, six-count swing, two-step, waltz, Texas 10-step, and cowboy cha in Country Western Dances (CMSV 098C, Call #37413, Sec. F01). This non-credit community education class will meet on Wednesdays, Aug. 29-Nov. 28, 6:15-7:30 p.m., at the Old High School Pit Auditorium, 650 S. Maine St.

Howard Woods and Judy Vannoy, teamed as experienced dance instructors, will provide assistance with basic steps and a variety of turns from the prospective of the male partner (leading skills) and the female partner (following skills). Couples are encouraged to enroll, and singles are also welcome.

Other community education class topics include arts & crafts, computers, genealogy, health & fitness, music, and personal development. Credit class categories are accounting, American sign language, anthropology, art, biology, business, chemistry, communication, computers, counseling, criminal justice, education, emergency medical services, English, French, geography, geology, history, law, mathematics, nursing, philosophy, psychology, real estate, sociology, Spanish, theatre, welding, and more.

Cost: $115. New WNC students will need to submit a completed application prior to registering.
