Learn More About College at Millennium Scholarship Nights

Looking for tips on how to apply for college financial assistance? Don't know where to start with placement testing? Want to find out about academic programs at Western Nevada Community College? Western is offering Millennium Scholarship Parent Nights on Monday, March 5, from 6-8 p.m. in Fallon, and on Wednesday, March 7, 6-8 p.m. in Carson City that will provide answers to high school students and parents with these kinds of questions.

"This will be a great chance for students, and especially parents, to learn about the Millennium Scholarship process, as well as academic programs and student activities at Western," said Financial Assistance Director Lori Tiede. "They will be able to meet counselors, faculty, students, athletes, coaches, and student government leaders."

The Fallon session will take place at the Fallon Convention Center, 100 Campus Way. The Carson City session will be in the Bristlecone Building Lobby on the WNCC Carson City campus, 2201 West College Parkway.

According to Dean of Student Services John Kinkella, "The Millennium Parent Nights will provide valuable information on how to successfully make the transition from high school to college."
