Learn Service with a Smile at WNCC Fallon

Looking to enter the job market in the near future or want to enhance current customer service skills? Recognizing that customer service skills are required in all facets of the business world, Western Nevada Community College Fallon is offering three workshops this spring in this vital field.

Work Attitude Development (BUS 113B, Call #14012, Sec. F01) will introduce the importance of attitude and good working relationships in the workplace. It will focus on strategies to improve attitude techniques for career success and help reduce job frustration and stress. This one-credit workshop is offered on Fridays and Saturdays, Feb. 16-17 and 23-24, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Cost: $59.50.

Another one-credit workshop, Effective Listening and First Impressions (BUS 114B, Call #17087, Sec. F01), will meet on Fridays and Saturdays, Feb. 16-17 and 23-24, 1-4:30 p.m. It will focus on the evaluation and development of methods to improve listening and first impressions for career success, including different communication styles between men and women, barriers to communication, and the importance of body language. Cost: $59.50.

Effective Telephone Techniques (BUS 116B, Call #14103, Sec. F01), available on Fridays and Saturdays, Mar. 9-10 and 16-17, 1-4:30 p.m., will focus on vocal techniques and telephone body language to produce effective communication. This one-credit workshop will present procedures for making and receiving business calls, and evaluating equipment and technology. Cost: $59.50.
