Wildcats Post First Losses of the Season

The Western Nevada Community College women's soccer team (2-2-2) endured a tough two-game road trip this week, falling to Paradise Valley Community College 5-0 Tuesday and then getting edged out by Cochise College 1-0 Wednesday in Arizona.

Going into Tuesday's match, the Wildcats had allowed only one goal in four games this year. However, their defense got away from them in this contest as Western allowed a season-high five goals.

Wednesday was the second meeting of the year against Cochise College, with the first contest in Carson City ending in a 0-0 tie. This game was much like the first with a scoreless tie until the last two minutes when Cochise kicked home the winning goal.

The Wildcats will look to get back on track Saturday in a home game against Colorado Mountain College at the Edmonds Sports Complex, 1555 Livermore Lane. Game time is noon.
